Mercy Ministry Update from Brian Jones

So many of you have graciously contributed to our Mercy Fund to meet the needs of those in our church who are experiencing financial challenges.  Thank you for your generosity, and may the Lord richly bless you.

We also understand that others of you are indeed facing financial difficulties.  Perhaps you have incurred unexpected medical or home expenses.  Maybe you are experiencing a job loss or slowdown.  May I encourage you (as one of your elders) to ask for assistance?  I know this is no small task in a society which prides itself on self-sufficiency, yet Scripture paints a different picture.  The Apostle Paul worked, yet as he served in ministry, he also received gifts from others (cf. Phil 4:10ff.).  He praised the Philippians for giving and knew that they would be blessed for their generosity.  Those who receive are blessed, and those who give are blessed.

If you are facing a financial need but have been reluctant to ask for help because you think another needs it more, please reconsider.  Our Mercy Fund has Walmart gift cards, Arco fuel cards, and financial assistance to help with payments or bills.  We stand ready to serve, bless, and gift you as you have need.  Please contact me, Brian Jones, at This email address is being protected from spambots.
