AWANA is a Bible-based youth program for kids three years old through the sixth grade. The AWANA acronym comes from 2 Timothy 2:15 (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed). The program has three main aspects:
1. Bible memorization or Sections
2. Group Council Time
3. Game Time!
Our club meets on Tuesdays starting at 6:00 until 8:00 pm and runs from about August until May. For 2019-20 session we will be starting September 3, 2019 at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary.
AWANA is a family outreach and at AWANA your children not only learn about the Bible and God’s plan for salvation, but they also learn about witnessing to others. It’s a program the whole family can participate in. Parents become leaders, and help their children memorize Bible verses and to know God’s truth. Children become clubbers and can invite friends and neighbors to join them. The children earn badges and pins for completing sections and also earn AWANA shares that can be used to purchase fun toys and products in the awana store.
Registration for the 2019-20 AWANA session.
Starting on August 4th, August 11th, and August 18th, 2019, we will be accepting registration for Faith Community Church members and returning clubbers after church service in the foyer. Open registration will be on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 starting at 6:00 pm at the church. You may obtain a registration form by clicking here. Please fill it out and bring it to church or during open registration. If you 're out of town, you may mail the registration form directly to the church. The address is on the form.
If you have an interest in working with kids here at Faith, please contact us for more information on how you can help. We always need listeners, leaders, game directors and secretaries. We care for our children here at Faith Community, so most positions require church membership and completed children's ministry application.
